Released in 2007, Rendition starred Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal, Meryl Streep and, Alan Arkin.

The said rendition refers on the controversial CIA practice of extraordinary rendition with Rendition being based on a true story of the CIA’s abduction of a suspected terrorist.

Rendition is an unsettling movie to watch as it deals with its said premise.

It also does not help that it has a subplot which does not make sense why it is there in relation to the main plot.

In general this feels like a frustrating rather than a captivating film in presenting the controversial method that is rendition.
