Could a $700 router be worth the money?

I feel better about paying about $530 for my current ASUS RT-AC5300 now

$716 (save $76)

I’m running a Netgear Nighthawk R7000… Except I ditched the Netgear firmware and went with DD-WRT instead.

Netgear has an issue with Firmware, but it’s good when you can replace it with an open replacement

The UAP-AC-Lite for Wifi https://www.ubnt.com/unifi/unifi-ap-ac-lite/
USG for Router - https://www.ubnt.com/unifi-routing/usg/

All up cost me about $220 and set it up in about an hour

Looking at adding another AP to resolve some coverage issues, takes about 5 minutes and will extend existing network
