Coalition pledges cheaper internet alternative

The Federal Opposition says people in regional areas do not need the high speeds of internet that would be offered by Labor's National Broadband Network (NBN).

Remote area mayors fear telecommunication services in the bush will remain inadequate if the scheme is scrapped.

Opposition spokesman Ian Macfarlane says a Coalition government would introduce its own internet program but says Labor's scheme is too expensive.

I think the NBN shows the Coalition is looking in the rear vision mirror and not through the windscreen, personally I find that a hard way to drive, at least in a forward direction.

The Coalition motto should be "We like the Italian Tank" and if you don't get that ask Mummy and Daddy.
