The AFL is on track for record attendances and memberships in 2010, but TV ratings have been poor this year.
AFL have said some slots are down but are generally pleased with TV ratings but quickly change the talk to the membership figures and crowd figures.
They have blamed it on a number of blow-outs..
Ten- Saturday night audiences drop from a Melbourne average of 374,000 last year to 283,000 this season..
Seven - Friday night football audiences are down 8.9%, from an average of 462,000 last year to 421,000 this season.
Foxtel- Saturday night coverage has seen its figures jump by as much as 20%.
