Channel 9 programming

Just checking guys that the commercial networks are supposed to show programs close(ish) to the times advertised, Survivor tonight starting at 9:50 (scheduled at 9:30)

The networks should be penalized

no, there's no legislation to require it. Ideally there should.

They know people are too stupid to change the channel. If people refused to put up with this crap and just changed the channel to something else then the networks would be penalised by getting less money for their adverts.

Here's a tip , its called recording.Watching something live is for suckers(except sport).
For example your show last night Survivor started 20 mins late, and if you record, you skip through the adverts in no time if you have a good skip button.

If you watched Survivor live last night it would have taken you 2hrs 20m.
Record it instead miss the 20 mins delay start skipping it , and each hour of a show contains between 15-20 mins of adverts where u skip them. That means all that would have taken between 1hr 20m to 1hr 30m to watch later in the night or the next day..

The key is to have a good PVR with a good skip function button and make sure u allow for late finishing times. I'm not wasting my time watching frickin adverts and having my life on pause while the Networks decide they'll start the show anytime they like

Well said Phantom. I'd be lost without my Beyonwiz. Who watches live TV these days, bar live sports?

There is also another way that would have let you see the first 4 episodes already with no need to skip through the ads

i'm am use to nine starting all their show late but 20 minutes is just ridiculous, i think you will find next week that a lot of viewers will time-sift survivor. also at least 10 and 7 update their foxtel epg to the minute, nine can't even be bothered!

I recorded a program on Foxtel the other day and I must have added 10 mins to the start so when I went to view it on my IQ2 it said program hasn't started! even though the record light was on so I assume there must be a flag that is sent out when the actual program starts does that happen to FTA
