Austereo today announced that the Today Network’s Hot30 Countdown will undergo hosting changes with Tim Lee and Carla ‘Biggzy’ Bignasca leaving the show.
Tim Lee will move home to Melbourne to join the Today Network’s Fox FM where he’ll be taking on the morning shift.
Tim’s outstanding work over the past three years has made the show one of the network’s strongest and most successful. He is one of the country’s hottest jocks and will be a critical part of keeping The Fox on top in 2010.
With the re-structure of the show, Biggzy has decided to seize the opportunity and leave the Austereo family after nearly four years with the show. While other opportunities were available at the station for Biggzy, she has decided to pursue other radio ambitions and to concentrate more on television. She has been instrumental in the show’s huge success over the years from her behind the scenes producing role to her fantastic work on-air.
Tim and Biggzy said, “We’ll really miss our loyal listeners and we’ve had some fantastic times hosting the Hot30. However there comes a time in life when it’s ‘just time’ to start something new and after over three years doing the show, we feel that time is now.”
Tim and Biggzy’s final show will be Friday, March 12.
Further news on the new Hot30 Countdown will be announced in the coming weeks.
