LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) A Cleveland man has filed a seven-figure federal lawsuit against NBC, claiming that an episode of "Fear Factor" was so gross that it made him physically ill.

Paralegal Austin Aitken says in the hand-written suit, filed Tuesday (Jan. 4) in a Cleveland federal court, that an episode in which the contestants ate dead rats caused his blood pressure to skyrocket, making him lightheaded, Reuters reports. That lightheadedness also caused him to bump his head on a doorway when he fled from the room, according to the claim. "To have the individuals on the show eat (yes) and drink dead rats was crazy and from a viewer's point of view made me throw-up as well an another in the house at the same time," the suit reads.

Aitken is seeking $2.5 million in damages from the network, which he also claims "is sending the wrong message to its TV watchers that cash can make or have people do just about anything beyond reasoning and in most cases against their will." Reached by Reuters, Aitken said he is "not at liberty to discuss the complaint unless it is a paid-interview situation." NBC acknowledges that contestants did, in fact, eat rats on a "Fear Factor" episode that was shot in New York and aired Nov. 8. The network isn't commenting on the suit until it receives a copy of the complaint.
