OSAMA REWARD TO DOUBLE
America is expected to double its reward for the capture of Osama bin Laden in the hope he will be betrayed.
They are using adverts and appeals in Pakistan that offer millions of dollars to anyone who leads them to the terrorist.
The current reward of $25m - about £13.1m - is expected to double to $50m. The US is also offering relocation to anywhere in the world.
A dozen contacts a day are reportedly coming in - but many Pakistanis remain sceptical.
Bin Laden escaped from his hideout in the Tora Bora mountains of Afghanistan following the US-led invasion in 2001.
He has since released several audio and video recordings, most recently on the eve of November's US presidential elections.
The terror leader is now believed to be in hiding in the mountainous border between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Pakistan set up a Quick Reaction Force dedicated to finding remnants of al Qaeda and Taliban forces - and in particular Bin Laden.
But its failure to track down the al Qaeda leader has led to US commanders trying new strategies.
