The latest nominations are in for the "Best EGR Quote". This will be a difficult choice as there are still plenty of excellent quotes still out there. Here are some more gems!
Please note we have left all spelling and grammar errors in to maintain the real feel to them.
1-29/09/06- “It won't be long now. Foxtel is almost dead and we will all be better off with it dead and buried.”
2-25/08/06- “Foxtel killed C7, so now Seven killed Fox Footy Channel. Expect a deal with both SBS and ESPN by next week.”
3-23/11/06- “7 and 10 have confirmed all 8 matches per round will be on FTA across Australia. can't wait to see the add calling on the AFL fans to dump pay TV due to Foxtel inability to get of its owners dildo.”
4-23/11/06- “Oh well no AFL on pay TV for the next 5 years ... how cool is that.
As an NRL supporter I am very happy about it as its a massive blow to the game the world knows as aireal ping pong.”
5-22/11/06- “I will go as far as to say that Mainevent will be the new home of AFL pay TV programing. Wat the thre press don't know about is that Optus and Austar have been holding talks with 7 and 10 about using Mainevent as their pay TV vehicle.
Foxtel custmers will simply be blocked from viewing Mainevent while AFL content is on Mainevent.
Some might see that as punishment from 7 and 10 for Foxtel refusing to do a propper deal but anyway.”
6-8/12/06- “Its over, Foxtel lost the oportunity to keep a large number of subs.
Now they no longer have AFL.Foxtel, they stink worse than Telstra”
7-29/04/07- “Foxtel made a commitment to both Ncable and TransACT that should it get access to AFL that both those companies pay TV services would be able to buy access to Fox Sports 3 or at best a dedicated AFL cahnnel due to FFC being dumped by Foxtel.
Again Kim Williams made this commitment when FFC was shut down.
So have they met their commitments?
Of course not as TransACT and NCable are competitiors to Foxtel and Austar and thus we already know about how Foxtel treats their competitors ... like they are bums in the streets.”
8-31/01/07- “Breaking News:

End of breaking news:
