Brisbane radio institution Ian "Skippy" Skippen is leaving B105 Breakfast to take up an anchor role down the hall at sister station Triple M with "The Other Breakfast Show".

Skippy's replacement will be Dean "Deano" Kesby, who is currently on air as the station’s summer breakfast announcer. He will join Jamie Dunn and Penny Cooper from January 5 next year.

B105 is also losing night announcers Chris Welldon and Sarah Robinson to FM1047 breakfast in Canberra.

Former television legend Johnny Young is taking over the breakfast duties at struggling Perth station 6iX

Pete Gowers from MIX and HOT Darwin, has been announced as the new PD of SEN1116 Melbourne.

In other SEN1116 news, Garry Lyon has left the breakfast show, with an announcement on his replacement yet to be made.

Dave Smith is the new PD of 3MMM, with 2DAY's Jamie Angel moving to Melbourne to take over the PD role at The FOX.
